On a large piece of land nestled in a commercial area you will find a special
home away from home for your child
. As you walk through the door there is a
caring, compassionate atmosphere
to greet you and a wonderful sense of warmth that blankets the entire centre.
The four rooms provide a
special place where children learn and explore
at their own pace and where the freedom for imagination runs wild. Relationships between children, teachers, family and whanau are built on trust, respect and most of all love. It is a place where
passionate, committed teachers
thrive on the delight that can be seen on children’s faces each day, teachers who take pleasure in discovering
what makes your child truly unique
and who work alongside them in their learning journey. We appreciate and embrace the importance of family and whanau and this is incorporated into our rooms both visually and also when planning our many opportunities for
parent participation
and gatherings with families.
The visual presentations on our walls show exciting investigations inspired by the children’s interest and
echo the children’s voices
. It is a place where the inspiration of the Reggio Emilia philosophy meets New Zealand culture to create a challenging yet supportive and encouraging environment.
The
natural aesthetics
of the centre are enhanced by the plants, wooden furnishings and the large variety of natural resources in our rooms.
Each of the rooms opens out onto our spacious outside environment which has a wonderful down to earth feel where we embrace the
beautiful simplicity of our natural surroundings
. As you enter the outdoor area you are greeted by meandering pathways, rustic wooden stumps, natural grass and native trees. 
Our dry river bed, moveable outdoor climbing equipment, rocking bridge and large sandpits
encourage adventurous play
empowering the children by nurturing wonderful learning dispositions of confidence, curiosity and adventure and together we discover the infinite possibilities and opportunities that our unique natural environment has to offer.
Our outdoor area also boasts a separate garden area where children grow their own delicious vegetables that our qualified chef prepares for them enhancing the healthy meals that we provide for the children.
