The potential in unplanned loose parts in open-ended learning

The potential in unplanned loose parts in open-ended learning

open-ended learningIncorporating parents as part of our learning community is an important aspect of our educational programme. What better way to involve parents than by inviting our families to help us source interesting open-ended recycled materials from their homes.

The sourced materials were set up in an unplanned order of materials to allow the children to find purpose and create their own organization.

In providing our children with such a diverse array of materials, we were able to offer them endless opportunities to engage in, explore, and transform their ideas in open-ended learning.
