Bear Park Kohi is a purpose built centre that opened in August 2005. The building is divided by a lobby with the Infant/Toddler area on one side, and the Preschool on the other side

The Infant/Toddler area has two spacious play areas, separating 3 to 12 months and 12 months to two and a half years, providing a huge array of activities that support and challenge the children's learning and interests. There are two sleep rooms in the Infant/Toddler area, with individual cots to offer security and comfort. The outdoor environment complements the indoor spaces, with two sandboxes, decking, soft fall matting and shade sails for sun protection.

The Preschool is open plan and children are grouped according to age. The value of play is taken seriously by the teachers and supported through the physical learning environment. The interiors are light and airy, with ranch sliders opening to decking and a well shaded and equipped outdoor learning environment. The bathroom is easily accessible to the children with child sized toilets and basins.

The centre is completely fenced and entrances are controlled with digital locks. Bear Park Kohi is set in a residential area in Kohimarama and is surrounded by well established homes and mature gardens.
